Great software, you can't go wrong with Revit

Helps us do much of our work more efficiently and with a professional end-product. The client is very often impressed.

Pros

Very powerful, user-friendly, versatile, professional end-product. If a feature isn't built-in you will still find many ways to achieve the result you want. With a centralised model a change to the model is simultaneously updated in other affected views. Simplifies many tasks which can be tedious in regular CAD packages, for example: dimensioning. Multiple monitor support, in at least the 2 latest versions of the software. Being able to presenting a client with easily interpreted 3D and perspective views. Excellent local resellers and support. Regular updates and patches, and a completely new version released annually.

Cons

Being as powerful as it is it can be buggy at times, but issues are usually resolved easily. Annual updates can also be a negative as files/projects cannot be rolled back to be compatible with previous versions of the software. Quite expensive.

Revit - Essential for architectural practice

I'm a big Revit fan and I recommend as many people as possible. I think it's more intuitive than using AutoCAD and the way it responds makes sense to me. It has many features that I find extremely useful. It is especially useful to be able to quickly navigate a view to get a better perspective of the projects I am working on.

Pros

I like that you can work your projects in different planes at the same time, as well as if you start working on a floor plan, at the same time, you are creating 3D views, elevations, section cuts, etc.

Each element that is created in Revit, such as walls, floors, windows and doors, must be fed with information and parameters such as materials, finishes, coatings, etc. A set plane, also advances in other planes and stages of the project, improving efficiency and saving time.

To the means of work and help to advance. in budgets and quotes.

Revit has a large library of built-in elements that can be integrated into your project, but there are also libraries of larger elements and materials on the Internet, some of them, the same ones, the data, the parameters, the rights that can be very precise.

Since it is a software of autodesk, it is compatible with other programs of the company, facilitating the import and export of projects.

Cons

Minimum system requirements are not enough for the day with the coordination model that has many other linked business models. 3D CAD models are not displayed correctly.
